Learning More About Lorraine LeMon
I was born and raised in the inner city of Detroit. I have now earned my BFA and MAED along with being the founder and former director of a 20-year old nonprofit called Art2heart. One would think these are my greatest accomplishments, but the greatest achievement for me is being married for over 40 years to a wonderful man and having 5 grown children and 16 grandchildren.
In the past 25 years, I have toured nationally and internationally as a motivational speaker and performer. I have given speeches in front of audiences in the United States, Europe, South Africa, Canada, and many more.
Having experienced the usual tragedies and challenges of growing up in the inner city of Detroit, I have lost all four of my siblings to drugs and the streets. Fortunately, through God’s Grace, I chose to not let those challenges become stumbling blocks in my pursuit for success but instead treated them as stepping stones.
Deep in my heart, there was this rooting shout to not allow my circumstances to define my destiny. These experiences helped shape me and helped me understand how I was made for “this time.”
